A Day Without a Mexican (or day without me, a Puerto Rican)

Just got done watching the movie "A Day without a Mexican", which was a good movie in my opinion.
It has me thinking now, where would society be without the minorities that make up that society...to paraphrase the substitute weatherman in the film, in a "shit storm".

If all of the Hispanics/Latinos, etc. disappeared one day, knowing full well I am one, what would you do, how would you act?
If not Hispanics than Asians, African Americans, etc.

Even though the film is a comedy they do stick in little tidbits of facts about California, like Agriculture not Hollywood is the biggest money making industry of California. I knew that because whenever you think of oranges there are two places that pop in my mind, California and Florida, did you know that?

So, what would you do if you woke up the next day and all members of specific ethnic group were gone?

For me, if Asians or African Americans are gone, some of my friends would be gone, some of my teachers, some of fellow classmates, etc. I would actively search for these people because I would want to know why or how they disappeared and if I can bring them back.

So yeah, that is about it for me at the moment.

In Chicago when I was growing up, the handful of Puerto Ricans I knew were always praying for the day the Mexicans would disappear from this country. They hated Mexicans.

By now I'm sure most people have probably heard of the new movie out called A
Day Without A Mexican written by Sergio Arau.The premise of this film is that
Mexicans are so vital to our economy and without them we couldn't survive.
Unfortunately this movie doesn't showcase the many educated professionals or
successful businessmen that are of Mexican descent.You know,the ones that
actually contribute to this country.Instead,this film glorifies the worst element
in the Mexican community,the illegal aliens.

Well,Da Mad Greek has decided that Mr.Arau isn't the only one that could live
in a fantasy land.Bare with me as I take you on a journey to A Year Without
Illegals.

Hector's a twenty year old recent illegal alien.Hector has no skills
whatsoever.He is courted by some employer of a meat packing company,and he is paid a
whopping $7.00 an hour.He lives in some squalor,which is an upgrade compared to
the rat hole he came from.Boning chickens becomes tiresome for Hector,so he
smuggles in his wife Martha.Being good Catholics,they adhere to that verse that
says be fruitful and multiply,and they quickly have four sons.Mind you,Hector
is a decent enough guy and his work ethic is unparalled,but there are
drawbacks to his migration that liberals conveniently leave off.Who do you think had
to foot the bill when Martha gave birth to the four bambinos?When the four
children reach school age,who do you think will have to foot the bill for their
education?Anytome one of the family members get sick,who do you think has to
foot the doctors bill?When one of Hector's kid's get shot in a gang fight,who do
you think has to foot the hospital bill?When his other son steals a rival
gangbangers low rider and gets caught,who do you think has to foot the bill for
court costs and incarceration?Well,I'll tell you who ain't paying.Hector can't
possibly pay any of the expenses with his measly salary,and his employer is
too greedy to give him medical benefits.So who foots the bill?Go look in the
mirror(provided you're a taxpayer).Multiply Hector by a few million and you'll
know why California has deteriated into a debt ridden third world nightmare.

The above is the most common scenario when it comes to illegal aliens.Let's
lok at two other less common scenarios.Hector,a semi skilled Mexican,breaks
into the US illegaly.He quickly finds a job which requires some skill.He quickly
learns English and marries an American citizen,which eventually gives him
citizenship.When they have kids,the value of education is heavily
stressed.Unfortunately,this pleasant story is offset by the darkest aspect of illegal
immigration.According to the D.O.J, 26% of all inmates in Federal prisons are illegal
immigrants.

Let us continue with our story.Hector and Martha are incensed that they are
not allowed to vote or have a drivers license.
They decide to make a real statement.After organizing several meetings,Hector
and Martha convince all illegal to return back to Mexico.The illegals are
convinced that the U.S will give in to their demands because they are so
indespensible.Amazingly,President Bush hits puberty at a late age and grows some
testicles.He calls their bluff.The illegals gladly leave because they are convinced
that the U.S will beg them to come back.They did have some problems going
back because Mexico was glad to see them leave.See,it's better to sponge off a
foreign country than the native country.Once they arrived,they believed it would
be a few days before gringo rolled out the red carpet.A month at most.
Hector believed that once the U.S begs them to come back,they would have the
power to demand drivers licenses,section 8 housing,voting privileges,and
blanket amnesty.It's been a year and the U.S hasn't budged.What kind of shape is
the U.S in?

--- Schwarzenegger managed to balance the budget.
--- gangbanging is at an all time low.
--- No more graffiti.
--- TB is gone
--- Less cases of food poisoning as a result of not having anymore push cart
vendors selling rotten food.
--- Less property taxes as a result of less overcrowded schools.
--- It's safe to drive on the 5th of may.
--- The average American wage has increased.
--- Americans are now more healthy as a result of doing their own work around
the house.
--- President Bush is now shamelessly pandering to Puerto Ricans.
--- When going through a drive-thru your order is now correct.
--- Dognapping no longer exists.(remember those cute little dog fights Esse
used to promote)
--- Crime has dropped to record levels.
--- Americans are taxed less(In 2002 illegals paid 16 billion in federal
taxes but cost the government 26 billion)
--- Air pollution has dropped because there are fewer junk cars on the road.
--- Car fatalities have dropped.
--- Calling an automated number is no longer annoying.
--- Hospitals are no longer going bankrupt.
--- The average American has reported that they are sleeping better as a
result of not being awoken by music or gunshots.
--- This exodus hasn't benefited all Americans.It's been reported that jail
employees,policemen,and social service personnel are facing layoffs.

Thank you Esse.Now if you could only draw Jethro and Homie into your cause.

If I started hated Mexican that would mena I hate a quarter of my friends I have and hate family friends, though I know there are racist PR, just like there are racist Mexicans, just because somebody is a minority does not mean they cannot be racist...though some people can't see that way, but hey the also think only "white" people are racists, etc.

If only I could change the minds, hmm I need to work on a brainwashing or altering device, though forcing change by government laws will not work because it will only breed resentment...like the one law I know FOR SURE I am never going to try to use is the Affirmative Action law because not only does it single me out but puts my qualifications for the job in question.

Though that is definitely a racist commentary, with many false statements...

Guess I should start with one person at a time like I usually do...first it was getting people to realize Wiccans are not evil, than Occultists are people and not evil, and now it seems I must go back to something I worked on before the Wiccans, making people realize we are equal...poor or rich, Hispanic, Caucasian, African American, etc.

An ongoing battle that I fear will take my whole life and even than I fear my work will not be done, but will not be in vain.

I found it funny and quite entertaining, but even with the humorous intent many want to defend their political leanings.

I won't spoil it for you if you have not seen it yet, so all I will say I found it an entertaining and humorous film.

Affirmative action came about because of the desire to fix the legacy of slavery against black Americans, since they were brought in chains. If affirmative action is to exist at all (I don't support it) it should be for Afro-Americans and only them.

Mexicans and other foreigners who don't assimilate ARE hurting this country. America isn't a great nation simply because it occupies the land between Canada and Mexico, the Atlantic and the Pacific. It's the culture. If the Mexicans import their culture and implement it on a large scale, they will arrive at the same situations they fled in their homelands.

As for you calling the list racist, I implore you to actually think for a second.

The only points on the list I wouldn't stand by (since I can't verify or are debateable):

No more grafitti - Maybe less, but not none. There are plenty of whites who engage in that activity: a very significant minority.
Food poisoning - I have no idea. I've never bought produce from a street vendor. It must be a California thing, because I never saw that in Illinois.
Bush pandering to Puerto Ricans - Maybe. After Mexicans they are the second largest Hispanic group in the country. Bill Clinton already tried it when he released the PR terrorists from prison to pander to NY PR's in Hillary's 2000 Senate run.
Dognapping - Negative. This takes place as much in black neighborhoods.

Immigration, especially illegal immigration, is an issue of extreme importance, and should be considered so right up with terrorism. Vicente Fox wants to pawn of his social problems on the United States, and we let him.

Can you blame him, America is more of a Socialist Nation than Mexico, which is not funny at all.
